This is so exciting! 2015 is here, and I’ve got some exciting things planned for this year!
To start with, I’m teaming up with BFF Amy @adventurepermitted for a 52 week photo project. I’ve wanted to do a weekly photo project for a while and what could be better than doing one with your BFF?! Do you want to know what else is exciting? You can join in too!! Pick one word, take one picture a week, for one year, that focuses on the word you have chosen. Easy and awesome, right?! Share your picture with us on instagram each week using the hashtag #projectoneword, or share a link to your blog post and picture here. I will reveal my word and my first picture on Friday. What word are you going to use to describe 2015? Leave me a comment, I’m dying to know!
I look at these pictures of Hannah and I see such pure and simple innocence, the innocence that comes from being a child, and my heart yearns to stop time, so she can stay this way always.
Here is what has been going on at the Lowry house lately:
We have had a lot of cool, rainy weather this summer, but as soon as the sun comes out the kids are outside playing and riding the horse. Hope we get some more sun and warm weather soon.
We had some cloudy, windy weather last week and I thought it was the perfect time to do an impromptu photo shoot with my girls. We froze, but we had fun.
More pictures from our trip to Anchorage 2 weeks ago. We decided to drive the Glen Highway there and then to take the Parks Highway home. That meant we had not just 7, but 14 hours of stunning views. It is easy to forget how rough and rugged Alaska is, but the second we take an excursion out of town I am promptly reminded.
Leave me a comment and let me know which ones you like the best. Thanks!
Welcome to my blog. My name's Kimberly. I moved to Alaska from Utah, when I married my wonderful husband, and I've been in Alaska for 14 years now. Little did I know, when I got here, what an eventful life it would be. Surviving the "Last Frontier" while raising and home schooling 7 kids is an everyday adventure.
